  • This Week is Spirit Week - Today:  Show your cool spirit! - wear hats and sunglasses and Wednesday:  Bearcat Day - wear Bearcat colors. Good Luck Bearcat Teams at Districts!

  • No Rod and Gun Club Today.

  • Grades 9 - 12 - Pep Rally in Stanford this afternoon.  Leave school at 1:00 pm

  • No School Thursday and Friday

  • February is I love to Read Month!  K-3 students earn tickets to be put in a drawing to win a bike for each 15 minutes they read or are read to.  4-6 grade students earn tickets by reading books and completing AR quizzes with 80% accuracy, which puts them in a drawing for a Kindle.

  • 2021 District 8C BB Tournament - Feb. 17th-20th @ Fergus High in Lewistown.  Girls Tourney will begin with 3 games on Wednesday, Feb. 17th and then Boys Tourney will begin on Thursday.  Lady Bearcats finished 4th and earned a bye in the first round.  They will practice @ Fergus High on Wednesday @ 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.  The boys team finished the season 6th and will play Roy/Winifred on Thursday @ 1 p.m.

  • District BB Attendance  - Fans will only be allowed to watch their team's games per MHSA rules. The gym will be emptied after each game. 325 fans will be allowed for each team.  If you wish to attend please contact Kim or Mr. Sparks to get on the list and a pass will be issued to you that you will need to present upon entering the gym along with your name and payment for admission.  Please let us know by this afternoon if you would like to be on the list.  Individual game prices are $6 for adults and $4 for students.  NO senior citizen discounts but babies and children under 5 will be admitted for free.  Masks will be required and concessions will not be available.

  • The Class of 2022 is selling Valentine's Day flowers.  Large bouquets (8 roses with other assorted flowers) are available for $35 and small bouquets (4 roses with other assorted flowers) are available for $20.  Please contact Noah or Birtu to purchase. 

  • Grades K - 4 - Bittyball begins today afterschool.  Pickup time is 4:30pm.

  • No Rod and Gun Club this week.

  • Spring Picture Day is Wednesday, Feb. 10.  In addition to individual pictures, the photographer will be taking group and class pictures. 

  • 4H Members - Valentines cakes are due to the county office this Friday, February 12.  The February club meeting is this Sunday, February 14 at 2:00 in the school cafeteria.

  • Denton Home Basketball Games Today - 125 DGS fans are allowed into the games vs. Fort Benton.  Please contact Mr. Sparks or Kim to get on the list.

  • Congrats Lady Bearcats on your win last night!

  • Students and Teachers - There will be a virtual presentation by Dan Parsons today at 1:30pm on the history of Pearl Harbor and the USS Missouri.  This is mandatory for Smithsonian kids.  Work study students will need to make arrangements so that they can be present to attend this presentation.

  • Early out today for students - 12:30pm. 7-12 grade students will be participating in a training on suicide prevention and should report to the gym at the beginning of third period.  Staff will do training in the afternoon. 

  • Congratulations to this weeks’ Students of the Week - Mercedez, Samantha, and Quinten. 

  • Basketball - DGS has picked up 2 extra varsity contests today vs. Harlo.  Boys will play @ 5 p.m. and Girls will play @ 6:30 p.m.  Good luck Bearcats!

  • Clock Keepers & Ticket Takers are needed for Monday, February 1st and Thursday, February 4th.  If you can help please contact Mr. Sparks.

  • Congrats to the Bearcat Basketball teams for wins over the weekend! GJV wins over TCT; GV and BV defeat Jordan; GJV, GV, and BV defeat WGR.

  • Rod and Gun Club for 3 - 6 grade students is Tuesday afterschool. 

  • Teachers - Eligibility due by 4pm today.

  • Friday - A clock keeper is still needed for Friday's games as well as a ticket taker for 2 games.  If interested please contact Mr. Sparks ASAP.

  • Attention staff and students - 7-12 students and staff will be participating in a training on suicide prevention on Thursday, January 28.  7-12 grade students will participate in the training in the morning, and staff will get the training in afternoon.  All students will be dismissed at 12:30pm so school staff can participate in a separate training.  Buses will run at 12:30pm on January 28.
