  • Easter Egg Hunt - Saturday, April 3rd at 11am in the pool park for ages 10 and under.  Brought to you by the Sunnyside Shiners 4H group.  4H members - if you are on the Easter Egg Hunt committee please plan on staying after school today to stuff eggs.

  • Easter Break - April 2 - 5.  No School this Friday or next Monday.  Reminder that we will have school on Friday, April 9.

  • Smithsonian/High School Trip - April 1 - April 8

  • Prom is April 17th - in the Stanford gym, grand march will be at 8pm.  No tickets will be issued ahead of time, pay at the door - $20/couple, $15/single.  Roaring 20’s theme.  Sophomores, juniors, and seniors will decorate on April 16 at 9am.

  • Make up day - Friday, April 16 - We need to make up a school day from when we were out with our boiler issues.  Please plan on adding Friday, April 16th to the school day calendar.

  • Poster Contest - for Earth Day.  Posters due by April 22 to the cafeteria staff.  Fun prizes to be awarded and ice cream for all who participate.

  • Spring Music Concert - April  22, 6:30pm.

  • Track - HS and JH Track practice today in Stanford, 4pm.  A HS track meet has been added today in Cut Bank.  The Fort Benton Invitational HS Meet has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 13th.

  • Spring Pictures - today at 1pm in the gym.  We will take class and group pictures in addition to individual pictures and will come get your class when photographers are ready for you.

  • High School Students - Covid tests today.  Do not eat or drink anything after 12:15pm.  Tests will be done starting at 12:50pm in the gym.

  • Parent Teacher Conferences - TODAY, March 24th, 4-7pm.  Report cards will be handed out at conferences.

  • Special Board Meeting - Tonight, March 24, 7pm in the library.  To join via google meet: meet.google.com/ftr-reac-kjk

  • Ski Day is Tomorrow - The bus will leave promptly at 7:15.  Breakfast will be served starting at 6:45 am.  Please turn in money before the trip.  Ski/Snowboard - grades K-1 - ski $40, grades 2-12 - ski - $29, snowboard - $37, own snowboard - $29.  Kids have a choice to bring money and buy their lunch or pack their own sack lunch.  If they bring their own lunch, they will have to eat it outside.  

  • The Bowling Trip is Tomorrow - Students should report to school at normal time. We’ll leave for Lewistown at 8:30, bowl till noon, eat a sack lunch, and then return to school.  Students will be released upon arrival back at school.  Please turn in money before the trip if you still need to. Bowling is $9 per student.  

  • School Board Position Open - Applications available in the office and are due by March 25

  • Smithsonian will have a meeting starting at 10:00 am on Friday, March 19th at the school.  There will be a 90 minute virtual leadership training course with Ford Ebesugawa from the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum.  We will also view a water safety training video about rip currents and swimming and snorkeling in salt water as well as cover final preparations for the trip.  Lunch will be provided and it is a required meeting.   

  • Congratulations - The Denton Smithsonian group received a scholarship to cover the WWII Leadership Class they are participating in this Friday.  A big THANK YOU to the Robert F Szul Scholarship Fund and the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum!

  • The next ski day is Thursday, March 25 - We have to let Showdown know who is going by the end of the week, so please let Kim know by TOMMOROW if you are planning on going on this trip.  Like last ski trip, we will only take grades 4-12 and younger kids as long as they have a parent that attends as well.  Costs - grades K-1 - ski $40, grades 2-12 - ski - $29, snowboard - $37, own snowboard - $29.  Scholarships are offered for those in need of financial assistance. Please let us know in advance and we will make proper arrangements.  We will not collect lunch money before this trip.  Kids have a choice to bring money and buy their lunch or pack their own sack lunch.  If they bring their own lunch, they will have to eat it outside.
